A&M Consolidated High School student Nathan Guermond recently won first place in the C++ Programming competition at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference in Chicago.
In addition to Guermond, all five of the other AMCHS students who attended the competition placed in the top 10 out of approximately 50 competitors in each of their respective events.
- Jeffrey Steines: 3rd place, Payroll Accounting
- Michelle Liu: Top 10, Fundamental Accounting and Top 10, Administrative Support Concepts
- Ivy Lee: Top 10, Keyboarding Production
- Jeffrey Steines, Jessie Wu, & Kelly Zhou: Top 10, Financial Analyst Team
As an added bonus, Kelly Zhou received a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Word 2010 and Jessie earned a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in PowerPoint 2010.
