10:00 am – 11:30 am
Brazos County Expo Complex
Hosted by the World Famous Catalena Cowgirls
There is no cost to attend this 6th Annual Event. Each special needs participant will have a cowgirl, cowboy or rodeo clown to escort and assist them (family is always welcome to assist/escort). We will have hats & bandanas for the participants to wear. Each child or adult along with their escort(s) will
be able to participate in the following events:
Barrels – there will be stick horses for them to run around the barrels; those
in wheelchairs can be wheeled around the barrels
Calf Roping – there will be hay bales with the roping dummy heads on them for
the participants to rope.
Pony Rides – there will be a horse for them to be led around on (spotters will
walk along side the children or adults & someone will lead the horse)
Bronc Riding – there will be stick horses for them to show the crowd their
“bucking ability” for 8 seconds
Pictures – there will be a place for the participant & their escort(s) to take pictures together. They get a copy of the picture to take with them.
Due to the personalized attention we want to give to the participants, we need RSVP’s in order to have an idea of how many participants to expect. Please RSVP no later than April 6th.
This is geared towards all ages of Special Needs 0 – 21. If there is an adult of Special Needs that would enjoy this, then they are more than welcome to participate. We ask that each participant have a parent/caregiver with them. Siblings are welcomed.
