Voices for Children Inc., Casa of Brazos Valley
Voices For Children, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to children in our community. Through the use of highly trained volunteers as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), VFC is dedicated to the safety and needs of the children we serve. Our mission is to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children under the court’s jurisdiction until each is placed into a safe, nurturing, and permanent home and to ensure that each child’s needs are addressed and fully met.
Join us for a sewing party this Friday night as part of Downtown Bryan’s First Friday event and “Skirting the Issue: Outfitting our Youth for Excellence” clothing drive. The goal of “Skirting the Issue” is 100 new outfits for 100 CASA youth. Skirts will be the focus of Friday night’s party, which will also include live music and refreshments. Donations of brand-new shirts, pants, shorts, shoes, etc. for school-age children will also be accepted at the party. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Amy Faulkner or Lou Bruggman at 979-822-9700 and learn what you will need to bring in your Skirting the Issue Sewing Toolkit.
